A co-worker gave me her daughters cell phone number and told me I should ask her out. I barely know the co-worker and was unsure, but she showed me a picture and her daughter is gorgeous. What should I say when I call? The mother has never done this kind of thing before to her daughter, how do I make her feel comfortable and not embaress her?

Ewwww honey, that's just weird, I would never do that to my child. Don't do it. What would you say? Hey, yeah, your mommy wanted me to call you....that's just lame.

If it's a cell phone she most likely won't answer a number she doesn't know. Leave her a message and tell her that her mother gave you the number and you wanted to know if she wanted to meet for a drink. You know that the mother has told her about you. She's the one out on a limb because she doesn't know what you look like. Try it what's one drink?

I hate it when the mothers impose like that! That is not a good idea never! If the mother wants to help, she should stay out of it or ask her, to arrange a meeting altogether!
Imagine if something goes wrong with that phone call??

I would tell the mother to set up a meeting for you two in a coffee shop IF her daughter is interested. Don't embarrass yourself and the young lady by merely calling.

laugh it up and make excuses for the mother, but emphasize how pretty you think she is, so what's the harm in going out sometime?
