There is a prgram valled System Mechanic 7, it diagonoses system problems, speed up internet preformace up to 300%, defrags the system memory, gets rid of junk files, and a whole lot more. You can get it at Office Max or Wal-Mart maybe. There is also a professional version that comes with a firewall and antivirus software that doesnt bog down your pc as much as Norton or Macafee do. there is a power toy from microsoft that helps you to tweek settings
Tweak UI
This PowerToy gives you access to system settings that are not exposed in the Windows XP default user interface, including mouse settings, Explorer settings, taskbar settings, and more.
