You don't need to use real suitcases. You can make "suitcases" out of file folders. Buy the color you want, create handles, put numbers on them, laminate, and then use velcro or sticky tack to keep the "cases" locked. For $ amounts you don't need to use the same choices as the show, but you can. (If you think this is too much work and want to spend the money, there is a Deal or No Deal game you can purchase.)Once you get into the game you can start looking for the probability factors. One of the teachers I work with did something very similar with 6th graders. They really loved getting involved. Good luck!

Have each student bring in a suitcase from home, they don't have to match. I've never taken a probability class before, but then you can write down the "answers" on paper and tape them inside the suitcases". Tape the numbers onto the suitcases on the outside, have the students be the "models" and have them open the cases. What fun!! You can be Howie the host. :)
