You are able to put them away faster but unless you use a clean towel every time, there are alot of germs in wash cloths and towels. You can microwave a dish cloth for 1 minute and that kills germs. You can also put sponges in the dishwasher. I do alot of air drying myself.

All things being equal the only advantage is time and neatness; You get the dishes dried and put away by using the towel, drip drying leaves them in the drainer.

i take advantage of a dishwasher which has a drying cycle. If I have been to bathe by using hand, i'd towel dry to stay away from water spots. no longer that I care if I consume on a observed plate or something...i think i do no longer purely like the dishes sitting there taking on area.

Actually there is no advantage to towel drying as it will deposit bacteria on your just washed dishes, so it is healthier to just put them to air dry in your dish drainer

You can immediately put them away in the cabinet rather than having them in the dish drainer. Makes the kitchen look tidier.

From a health perspective none, unless if your towel is a multipurpose one that you use for everything then towel-drying should be avoided.

They dry faster, but I think to be sanitary it is best to drip dry them.
