I am white and married into a Hispanic family. If you are a shade above white they call each other ***** or negra.
(pronounced naygro, naygra). The call black people beetles in Spanish. They do NOT like dark skin. Puerto Ricans deny their African heritage. Dominicans don't consider themselves black.

with all due respect, everywhere ive been to people think americans are ignorant. so if people in the us dont know there are differences among hispanic people thats just americans showing how ignorant they might actually be. i think this goes with the fact americans proud themselves for being the richest country on earth, the mightiest, so they dont really care whatever happens beyond the rio grande to the south and both oceans to the east and west. man!! they despise canadians for chrissake!!!!!! since i was little ive been telling adult americans that when its winter in the us its summer in latin america. they dont seem to realise the globe is, well, a globe, and that there are hemispheres. we learn that in 3rd grade in chile. back in may i was in florida. a blonde comes to me and tells me "ur italian, right?". i told her no, im chilean. "oh, and what language do they speak in chile???" ok, so chiles is not the largest country nor the best well known but once in sweden the girl i met knew more about pinochet than me!!!!!!!!!! also, in india a guy knew the chilean miss universes name!!
speaking of beauty... it doesnt actually matter whether ur a white american or not... id say our chilean miss universe or those cuban hotties or them argentinian blondes all look way better than bubbas fat sister... a true white average american!!!

No that's not true! Hispanics that think they are White are Wannabees! You want to be White instead of being proud of your real heritage. Just because you have the hair and the complexion still does not make you one of them. Whites will accept you to a point. Get real sweetie! If the line is ever split, believe me, the Whites will toss you and all of the Hispanic race on the same side with Blacks! Just be happy with who and what you are and keep it real.

because they are not, Latinos are all races all colors. northern Spanish people are mostly Caucasian. the southern Spanish are or mixed blood, form Africa,and the Arabs
