use youe birth name or the name that you will have after the marriage...it seems a little inappropiate to use your old married name...

Use whatever name you're signing your checks with these days. That's your legal name, the one that you've been content to be known by, the one that's going to be in the marriage registers and the paperwork. You met your future husband using that name, it's the one everyone knows you by right now... swapping at this late date will require many lengthy explanations to family and friends, not to mention confusing the children in the interim.

It may seem "tacky" to be using the name from your first husband, but the time for you to have made that change would have been much closer to the divorce. If it hasn't bothered you for well over a decade, why let it stress you out now?

it is more common to use your birth name. on invitations and newspaper even if its you second time around. it also as a fresh look in to your new marriage. Good Luck.

Angela Mary (Smith) Jones, where Smith is your maiden name and Jones is your ex husband's name, and James Alan Brown (your new husband to be) request the honor of your presence.........

It is perfectly acceptable to use your ex-husband's last name as that is still your last name and it is the last name of your children. When you married your 1st husband you took his last name as yours. There is no rule that says you ever have to give it up! And your children will still have their father's last name, so it's great to acknowledge them by showing you are proud of the last name they bear.

Eek. 12 years. Thats a tricky one. But if you were devorced I would have to go with your maden name. It just seems more right. You were devorced so you dropped your name. The children should be able to choose what name they would like.
Congragulations on the wedding.

It depends on how most people know you. If the bulk of people know you as Jane Doe even though your maiden name is Smith, then I would go with Doe.

Use your current legal name. I am sure most of the people you invite will be most familiar with that name.

Use your married name. I assume he met you under your married name, so that would be totally appropriate.

Congrats, Good luck, and God Bless
