Whenever a pop-up is blocked, Firefox will notify you (a yellow bar appears just below the tabs). Click on that bar and then select "Allow pop-ups from this site". Then reload the site to display the pop-up.

In Firefox go to Tools>Options>Content and uncheck Block popup windows.

click tools and then options, click content and on the top you should see block pop ups ticked, click the exceptions and enter the website address. voila. I believe when you hold control and click the link it should work too
