The best way that I have used is to take a white towel get it damp and fold it in half and place it over the wax spot. Using a damp towel will prevent you from burning the carpet. Then use an iron set to cotton and press down on the towel over the spot for about five seconds. Lift the towel, you should see that some of the wax has wicked up into the towel. Keep repeating this process using a clean portion of the towel each time, this should remove all the wax.
Be careful not to use an iron with steam with a colored towel, newspaper, paper bag with print or printed paper towel because the color or ink can transfer into the carpet causing a permanent stain.

You get some brown paper or newspaper and you put it over the spill. Then put a cloth over the paper, next get a hot iron and run it over the spill. The candle wax should melt and soak into the paper. Continue until wax is removed.

Take two sheets of paper towel and lay them on top of each other over the wax. Use a warm iron(not hot). The iron melts the wax and the paper towel will absorb the wax. Be care full to not get the carpet too hot as it will scorch! ;-)=

1. scrape up all the excess wax.
2. Take a paper bag and a hot iron.
3. Put one layer of the bag on the wax.
4. Iron the spot, changing the paper over it to get it all up.
Good luck.
