Not common sense...we are talking about integrity...and he has none.....I know about log books and can honestly say if he is fixing the books or maybe he has 2 sets of books he will do this in other aspects of his life as well...Dishonesty is dishonesty no matter how you look at it...Two beautiful children and a caring wife are evidently not his main concern...he is thinking only about himself....You cannot change him...he will have to decide what is more important in his life and it's about time you presented him with his options and it doesn't include lying....
You sound very nice...I wish you the best....

The wonderful world of Log Books, There are ways around the fines but you have to know how to work your book. There are ways to back it up....any questions email to ask. Too many ways to keep a legal book and still be home early.

Cut a couple of wires in your own car.
send it in for repairs.
While thats in, borrow your other halfs car.
take his car to an auto electrician and have a speed restrictor installed.
that will stop him.
Either that or refuse to pay the fine and make him sit in a jail cell for a few months, might make him wake up to himself.

Tell him your going to leave him and stick him with child support if he does it again and explain to him how upsetting it is to have to struggle to pay it.

GO WITH HIM AND MAKE SURE HE'S SPENDING HIS DRIVE TIME DRIVING AND NOT DOING OTHER THINGS. OR..... MAYBE HE'S TRYING TO RUSH HOME AND CATCH YOU DOING SOMETHING.....
