I am having a party and I am going to decorate the day before around 7:00PM. The party is the next day at 1:00PM.
I want to get the helium balloons there the day before (A store is doing it for me I just have to pick them up)
But I was wondering if maybe by the time the party starts are they going to be up or down. I mean isn't even 24 hours from when I would put the balloons there, maybe 6:30pick them up, then party next day at 1:00pm. Do you know approximately how long do helium ballons last?

Would you set them up the day before or the day off?

If you getting plain latex balloons, they'll only be full and floating for 4-6 hours, so you'll want to set those up just before the party. If you use the shiny polymer balloons, then you can put them up the day before. The may not be as full the next day, but they will float. The safest thing, if at all possible, is to set balloons up just before the party. Good luck!!

I would set them up the day before so the day of I am not so stressed out trying to decorate before a party I am having / hosting

I still have my Valentines balloons w/ some helium in them ... seriously
As long as you dont put them outside ... (they shrink whn outside) you should be perfectly okay having them set up for only a day or so ... best of wishes w/ your party

xoxo

Latex balloons will only last a few hours. I don't know the name of the kind florist use, you can ask. They last a long time. I work in a hospital and have seen our patients enjoy their balloons for up to a week.

If a store is doing the balloons for you, they should add the gel that makes them stay up longer. You should be alright even if they don't use the gel because the balloons will stay up about 2 days without the gel. Set up ahead of time for your peace of mind!!!!!
