Thank you for your opinion Reverend Fred Phelps.
Americans have become very health conscious. You can't spit without hitting a fitness club. Everywhere you look, health is paramount.
Who recycles more than we do. Want to talk about wasteful, how about Russia?
Stupid? Aside from you, not really.
Idols into the church, what the heck does that mean. Americans of all faiths are very spiritual people.
Ignore the Sabbath? Nope, ain't buying that one either.
Changed it from the 7th day to the 1st. OK, About 1,800 years ago during the ROMAN Council of Nicea and, excuse me, there wasn't an America then.
We not only think we're great. We ARE great. Americans and the most generous giving people who ever existed on this planet. We are willing to sacrifice our lives to end tyranny and oppression and to right injustices. We give money to support worthwhile causes across the globe. Show me one other country that could even begin to match the MDA benefit, let alone any other charity that we fund.
I think you need professional help a whole lot more than America needs a mirror. We know what and who we are. It's pathetic that you don't.

if you live in America you should be grateful to be called an American. instead of criticizing the country why don't you attempt to make a difference. If you think we are wasteful find a why to teach other how to save, recycle, join a co-op. If you see a trend in obesity, begin to eat healthy, cook low cal teach your family and friends about good nutrition. Take a cooking class. Follow your passions and make an impact on your community. As far as the church is concerned if you don't like it go somewhere else. Best thing about this country is you have freedom of choice. Nobody said you couldn't worship on Saturday if you choose. Educate yourself and encourage others to get an education. Less complaining, more resolutions

I do not agree. I love my country. Thats coming from a minority who most would say is considered a 2nd class citizen. Only in this country can I rise above that label and be whatever I choose to be. We may or may not be all the things you say we are but the beauty of it is that we have the FREEDOM to be fat, wasteful and stupid, etc etc. We have freedom to say and do what we want to do. We are nowhere close to perfect but no other country is either. At least we have freedom of choice and options and opportunity to live and worship as we choose.. Thats what's important.

Well, I will have to agree with you on the fat, wasteful, and stupid part.
I am not saying that Americans do not work hard, because they do.
I am saying that we have it very easy compared to other countries. We constantly waste things, because we think there will be more later.
I will admit we need a mirror. Maybe someday we will straighten up.

Do Americans even have a culture ? Its not often I hear this.
And for ye detractors out there, I am a 5th generation Texan.
No its not pretty. Corporations have a lot to do with this.
But I am also an agnostic - failed Methodist and religion is a non starter for me. Still its a good point.

I think you are way off base. There are over 300 million people in the US. You cannot reasonably expect to generalize about everyone in a few sentences.
The US is the best country on the planet. We have the best form of government. There is unlimited opportunity for people to do what they want with their lives. I am glad I am a citizen of the US and living in the US.
None of your complaints apply to me.

America is admired for its technological advances and culture in some way. However, the foreign policy and nukes leave much to be desired. But all in all, America is still quite a good place to be in. America, the pinnacle of science and technology.

Colossians 2
13When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made youalive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. 15And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
16Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

I think you know nothing about American Culture. We are great. Many countries are great like Great Britain, Italy, and many many more. The only reason America looks bad is this 7 years of Stupidity heading the country. Read the books my friend and get you head out of your *** and think , What have you done for this country and what has America done for the world you Self Righteous Traitor.
