Americans speak different depending on what part of the country they're from. Obviously, you've never been to America.

You've obviously never asked an Australian on a rural back road for directions. Accent? I didn't realise he was speaking English for the first dozen or so words. And I live there.
Of course, each to their own on accent preference. I just thought it was a funny story.

Where are you from?
There are accents that I don't like either and it's a matter of preference,... aesthetics.
What in the hell are you talking about when you say "indicative of the way they live their lives"? This makes no sense at all.
If you have a problem with the way we Americans live our lives then, the best thing for you is to just stay where you are, don't burden yourself, (and us) with your presence in America. I'm assuming that you're not already here. If so, then PLEASE get the hell out.

Since your question is obviously written from ignorance, let me help you out some. Here in the USA, we all have regional dialects and accents -- just like other people from other countries.
People who live in Texas speak differently than those who live in California, who in turn speak differently than those who live in New York, who speak differently than those who live in New Jersey, who speak differently than those who live in Kentucky. And so on..........
So yes, we do speak in ways that is indeed indicative of our lives -- we are diverse individuals. Thank you for your compliment.

I go to work three nights a week. I watch, play with, educate, and love my three year old son the other four. That is all I do. What exactly do you hate about that? You may have animosity about our government going into a war viewed as unpopular by the world community, but you severly show your ignorance by judging american citizens, based upon the unpopular actions of it's government. Is hate what Ala teaches? If it is, than Islam is horrible religion.

Oh, love the American English while you can. We'll be a Spainish-speaking country in the blink of an eye and something would have been lost.

That's freaking ignorant. We have THOUSANDS of dialects and accents here. Pick one.
The Brits need to get over the fact that there are separate dialects of English as well. Nobody asked their opinion.

I don't like it much.
There are worse though - South African is the worst accent I've ever heard.
I don't like the Australian accent either.
Accents from parts of northern England (Liverpool, Manchester) sound like a bag of cats.
