Is there a program i need to use or a default passord and username? I have to get in, I have data in there.

try owner or administrator. thats what the tech at the computer store did to fix mine when i screwed up.

One of the easiest ways is to use like mentioned previously a linux boot disk which could allow you to change the password.

Assuming you posted the question that you have access to another computer. If you have a cd burner on the available computer go to this site here

I have used this on a few of my friends computers that have "forgotten" their passwords. I went in and changed the Admin password and was able to login fine.

I found that program very handy and easy to use since at the time I knew nothing about linux disks.

There's no default user or password... unless you happened to leave 'guest' set up and know it's password.

The other way in is to use knoppix or any other bootable Linux disk that has NTFS ... then you boot the Linux CD and us it to read the data from the disk onto a stick drive. Try Ubuntu live CD as well.

Or you can use it to hack the administrator password.

I suggest you do a complete re-install from scratch. If your prompted for settiing, all new settings. let is erase everything.
