My boyfriend is a PC Gamer lover high end graphic over playablity but can't find a new PC System he wants so he is now looking at the PS3 but he has never liked cosoles before due to their poor graphics and also he likes keyboard and mouse over joypad, so can the new PS3 compete with PC gameing and can you get keyboard mouse for them or is it just all hype?

can people stop banging on that PS3 and Xboxes are the most powerfull computers in the world because we all know there not and you are idots if you think they are, Ive got a apple G5 with Quad core that will wipe them all out but thats not the question I asked!
I just wanted to know if he would be dissappointed with the PS3 if he is used to the quality of PC Games!!!!

Well the graphics CAN compete, if you go with an HDTV. Can't find an good PC to compete? Heck if he is willing to spend the money, and I mean a good chunk, he should go to Alienware.com and look at their PCs. Spend WAY more then you would on a PS3 though. Not sure that the PS3 would compete though if you want the keyboard and mouse. That's why I can't do PC gaming. I want my controller. Another thing to keep in mind is that PC games are cheaper. I mean I'd almost want to sell the PS3 to you/him, but honestly if you are a PC gamer I just am not sure the PS3 can compete. Maybe they will add a keyboard and mouse and at that point it really could compete.

try an xbox 360.it is more powerful than a pc even though a pc comes with a new pentium dual core processor.the xbox 360 comes with a TRIPLE CORE PROCESSOR AND 516 MEGS OF GRAPHICS RAM;among other things such as fantastic games,i.e.gears of war,lost planet,bio-shock,HALO3!!! WOW.the ps3 may seem powerful but it really isn"t.see for yourself-it has a 256 megs of ram graphics card and a cell broadband engine which is really for the blu ray technology of blu ray discs.look.the bottom line is this=if your BF is a true gamer and wants graphics,get the 360.why?it is cheaper,more than 100 games available to him and they are great games.and the 360 is a truly powerful console for the future and it is upgradeable in case of hd dvd and now there is a rumour of a bigger hard drive coming soon for 360 and there are lots of possibilities and it is backed up by a huge company that only deals with computers amd gaming.good luck.

okay thing are a little different here okay here it is: pcs are good for playing in me personally i like more pcs than console okay but the are different they work in the same way but are difererent so tell hi mto go with a xbox 360 that is like a pc and it gets almost the same games as pc because the are the same company okay good luck
