Who sets these dates ?.

Spring equinox is March 20-23rd It varies due to the same calender irregularities that bring a leap year every fourth year. This year started 3/20 at midnight GMT. You were WAY to nice to cheeko and....I have a warm spot in my heart for the little people.
Equinox means equal hours of day and night
As daylight grows longer til it reaches a peak than the trend reverses...Solistice...till day and night are again equal ...
Fall equinox.

Spring starts on March 20 in the Northern Hemisphere, and September 23 in the Southern Hemisphere. It doesn't vary by country.

April is in Liverpool when the clocks go forward so i think Ireland will be around the same dates as use ,i hate spring it means i got to spring clean an tidy up my garden .I'm trying to hold it off as much as possible it has come you can feel it in the air .
