1 is True. There are numerous cases, just in US history, where people have lost freedoms due to indifference. And many people have lost their freedom as a result of weakness.

5 is False. Iceland has the oldest continually functioning legislature in the world.

7 is False. "All" is the tip-off. Rarely are absolutes true. If there is one king who was kind, the statement is wrong.
