If your baby was not in the correct position for delivery then that maybe what has happened now. If this is what happened you will fill the baby drop soon. I am experiencing the same type of pain, and currently my son is in a breech position, I hope he turns to the correct position, because I don't want to have a c-section. If the pain comes back and is more intense and frequent call you dr., this could be the beginning of labor.

Sounds like contractions to me, as your 38 weeks I believe they could very much come back so make sure your bags are packed please & thats someone is available to take you to the hospital should the pains get closer than 5 minutes apart. Good luck, I am 31 weeks but I wish so bad I was making the progress you are right now, I want to meet my baby now, I am struggling with pains, twinges & costantly unconftable! Let us know how it goes xxxx

Could be phantom pains, or maybe you are going to have a very slow labour, my friend was in labour for 6 days, so this could be the start for you , it sounds like it to me

first of all to the lady in the first answer- your talking like this lady is stupid, have u had kids? its a scary time and with every pain you get you panic so dont think this lady is stupid she only asked a question.

It does sound as your in labor, time the pains, ring the hospital to let them know your comin so they can get the room ready, if the contractions are far apart a warm bath helps the pain, if this is your first baby labor can take a while so dont panic and rush about, just relax. let me know how you get on. good luck xxx

My guess is it's either labor or false labor. Either go to the doctors or hospital straight away!

something of this nature shouldn't be posted here... you're supposed to be calling your doctor and getting their opinions, not ours. sure, we'd like to help -- but there's only so much we can do, and your situation is very delicate and time-sensitive that you shouldn't be going to yahoo answers anymore... so call your doc now, and i wish you all the best!
