No, the closest one is indifference. Between love and hate there is a long road only crossed if you nurture any of these emotions.

Although they are similar in how strong they are, they are quite the opposite. Love is a positive emotion while hate is a negative emotion. I hope that helps. God bless.

There's a saying
"You can't truly hate someone that you haven't truly loved"
But I'm not sure thats true. For instance when I was younger I had a friend who was attacked - she didn't know the attacker but she hated him. Maybe this is an exception. Or maybe your theory is more precise.

There are many people I love, but I don't always like what they do.
They can get me irritated, and angry, so I try to rationalise the situation.
It gets worse if you have a physical relationship with someone.
