depends how fast you can write..but the sooner you start it and stop thinking about how long till you've finished it...the sooner you'll be done.

Anywhere between 2and 15 hours, I tend to write my essays in a day after having done all the necessary research etc. and having gone through it all, but I take breaks, reread everything and I don't tend to do it all in one day unless I'm really short on time, it's best to do an hour or so, take a break then do another hour or so. Also, don't coop up and do it all at once, take your time. At the moment I have 6 essays to do, all for in less than 2 weeks and I'm doing each of them bit by bit, taking break and even finding time to go out, otherwise I'd go mad!
There's no specific time limit that anyone can write an essay in, someone could write an essay in 2 hours and it could be rubbish, someone could also write an essay in 5 weeks and it could be rubbish, the same goes for an essay being good. Although I have found that people who take their time and find out what they need to know and exactly how the subject works tend to do btter as the essay will just flow!
Good luck!

If I had my resources to hand and I new my subject well enough I would write a 2000 word essay in around 3-4 hrs when I was at uni.
You probably need to allow around 2 days to research the subject and get the necessary materials but writing the thing is the easiest bit for me.

That depends on how much you know about the subject before you start!
Most people can compose about 250-500 words an hour if they're familiar with the subject. If they're very familiar with the subject, very quick-thinking, very good at language and very clever, this might get up as far as 1000 words an hour.
If you're starting from scratch and haven't done any research yet, it's likely to be 250 words an hour at the maximum.

I wrote a 2000 word essay one day, It took me from noon til 7 pm, but that was with no research, I just wrote it of the top of my head and got like 65%, it even included fake referances! I'm fairly good at writing tho.. Proof it can be done! Good luck anyway. Now get off this and get to it!!

A 2000 word essay usually took me 4 hours to type up because of the footnotes and referencing.

Have done 2000 word essay in one night, however would advise against doing this as you can't sleep because subject is reeling around in your head afterwards and you end up with dark circles, puffy eyes and nausea. I would at the very least give yourself a day and a half, for the sake of your sanity.

The most time consuming part is collating the research. The time spent on the actual writing depends on how quickly you type.Spend a lot of time checking and double checking facts and spelling and make sure that you reference everything.

Depends how fast you write. At 5 seconds per word, that's 12 words per minute, 720 per hour. 2000 words would take 10,000 seconds which is 2 hours 47 minutes.

Not that long.. prob about 1 hour- 2 hours depending on how fast you write/type. Why do you want to know? Try writing 2000 words and find out for yourself.

how long is a piece of string?! it all depends how long the research takes you - personally I would allow about a week for research then 3 days writing but I have known it to be done (by myself!!) in about 5 hours! the longer you give yourself the better it will be basically
