i do it when i'm lazy that day, or i really am sick... in which case i just call and say i'm sick, and apologize (if you're really sick, they can't do anything), or if i'm just lazy i'll make up some excuse like my car broke down, or i got a flat tire and have to wait for someone to come fix it, or i had a "family emergency". beware though- any made up excuse can always backfire... they'll "come get you" if you need a ride, etc. â¥

A fever of 103 degrees. Fever indicates you are probably contagious. At my job, we have to be fever free for 24 hours before we come back to work.

If you have a male boss, blame it on your menstral cycle...they never ? it. If its a female boss...tell them that you and a child (wether it be your daughter/son, neice/nephew, brother/sister) is terribly sick and you caught it as well.
