If you block a sender any message he sends will be returned to him. undelivered.Yes he will know he is blocked.
Try it with your own ID from Yahoo[ or any other, to gmail and send a message from yahoo.
Better use eprompter from www.ePrompter.com
I am using it for six different e mail providers.
delete the messages from server itself, including spams.

Hi Christian...
Me also I have the same problem with the email yahoo;there are a lot of senders who send me the vulgar email or lies (they say that I won an enormous banking sum..) I thank you a lot for this question that allows me to fight against this problem...
Finally I advise you to look for in the options and surely some leaves you will find the solution you can give the addresses of email thus non wanted and they will block them....

In Gmail click on "settings" in the upper-right on the window, next click on the "filters" tab, follow the steps from there.
And no, they won't know that they are being blocked.
