get him to lie down on the back lawn and lay turf over him. then complain to the neighbours about localised tectonic uplifting so they don't get suspicious. make it so his head fits in the garden shed so you can feed him peiodically. barrels full of fruit is best.

He has to be captured in order to avoid accidents or killings. Remember, is an animal and as such he doesnt think but act according to instincts.
