Im 39 weeks prego and i went to the doctor yesterday and she stripped my membranes. Then a few hours later I went to the bathroom and i think ive started to lose my mucous plug. One time i went to the bathroom and it was mucousy but had a very small very light pinkish dot in it. And now i still seem to be having a little of it still come out. Is that possible to lose it slowly?? I hope this made sense. Thanks!

Don't panic hon, everything is fine. It's quite common to lose the mucus plug in little bits after that procedure. Over in England they call it a stretch and sweep by the way. Just sit back and enjoy your last few hours/days of quiet, your baby will be here soon.

Yup had it done when I was 40+ weeks with my 2nd son. Had it done on the thursday lost my mucas plug over the next couple of days and he was born on the saturday, so could be any time soon. Just a note I live in England and my midwife called it a membrane strip. Good luck.

Yes a lot of people lose their mucous plug a little at a time.
