Roses will last longer and carry their fragrance longer if you cut them in the afternoon.. .. . . say, 4:00 or so !!

During the evenings, the sugars, etc. go back to the heart of the plant, and during the day-time, they come out to the flowers !!

For indoor arrangements, flowers should be cut during the morning or evening. The heat of the mid-day may prove to be exhausting for the flowers and they will fade sooner
