im 17 and i pierced my lip myself. i used pro stuff tho so its not infected. im too scarred to let anyone else do it for me tho thats y i did it. i put a really tiny barbell (about 3cm long) in it so it dosent look trashy.......opinions?

No, and I never will, but then again I'm in my mid 30's. I think alot of piercings are going to be regretted in a few years. Things like piercing lips and eyebrows are things you should think through carefully, depending on what you want to do for a living. Getting a job in business is going to be tough because of stereo typing, and the scar will always be there if you take it out. Personally, I've been in a position where I did hiring, and I hesitated to hire people with obvious piercings, aside from ears. It just doesn't look good in a business environment, especially if the clientele is conservative or even food service. There is nothing I dislike more that going to place to eat and seeing all kinds of piercings in some kid's face. I know this is very narrow minded, but it actually turns my stomach. It doesn't bother me in other areas, but in food service, I just can't stand it.
Just think it through before you do something like this. You may not feel the same way about it in 5 years.

I pierced my own nose, also w/professional stuff. I also had my belly button pierced in two spots 1 on the top & 1 on the bottom, but i took them out. I also did that myself as well w/professional stuff.

I had my eyebrow pierced for a while. I had it done professionally. It didn't hurt having it done but I couldn't sleep on that side of my head for a while.
I had to take it out after an accident involving a high wall, a triple somersault and too much alcohol made it go septic.

ive got my nose and lip done. and i got them done by a professional. i got my nose done when i was 15 and my lip when i was 17. my momma is just so awesome for letting me get um done. but yea...im 18 now and i plan on getting more piercings. such as: right eyebrow, left side of lip, monroe on left side,tongue and gunna get my ears done till i cant get no more in. so yup! thats all the ones im gunna get that i can post on here ne ways!

I have 4 in each ear, my nose, and naval. I got my naval done when i turned 18 - professionally and my nose when i was 20 - professionally. In my opionion, the nose was the least painful too.

Used too, about ten years ago...I had both nipples pierced. I went to a tattto parlor to have it done. Very...very...painful experience. I got tired of it after a couple of years...so I quit wearing the rings. I wish my tatoo's were that easy to change.

got a bellyring. went to a shop that had guys from london doing tattoos and piercings. they were hot so thats why the piercing.. ;-) wana get a tongue ring but that scares me....
that was over a year ago

No, just ears. Two lobe piercings in one ear, one lobe piercing in the other. Very 70's of me! LOL

I got my eyebrow pierced. And i didn't require a professional I did it myself. Its easy you know
