3.8L or 3.2? doesn't really matter. The answer is No, it's a lawn mower engine, esp the 3.2, a bad joke for a marow. get the 305 (5.0L) in the Z28 for a street car. If you can find it, get a Firebird formula 350, same motor as the vette of the same year.

The answer is Yes. With the right ammount of money, you can make it alot faster, but there is a point where you must weigh the cost of putting money into the V6 vs. Spending money on putting a Nice 5.0L V8 in it. Personally, i would go for the V8 if you want faster, but to answer your question, yes, its possible, but probably not real cost effective.

Some things to consider doing:

Lightweigh flywheel
Cold Air Intake
Supercharger
Weight Reduction (Find all the lighterweight parts you can for your vehicle, you wanna help that V6 out all you can by taking away all the weight you can)
Headers and Peformance Exahust System

These are just a few ideas, but you really wanna consider weather its worth putting that kind of money into a V6 or putting that kind of money into a V8.
