Anybody think the Bluejays can make the playoffs this year or the next year or both years.

The Blue Jays absolutely have the talent to make the playoffs. The problem is their division. Leapfrogging the Red Sox or Yankees will probably take a colossal collapse from one of those teams, or a bunch of injuries, or something like that. Until the Blue Jays spend as much $$ as BOS and NYY, they will finish third in that division (and out of the playoffs) until the end of time. Like it or not, folks- in baseball, money talks.

If Halladay is healthy all season I think they have a good chance at the playoffs. They were very competitive last year and this year they should be better. Both Boston and New York have very questionable pitching staffs at the moment, which should work to Toronto's advantage.

My advice for finding playoff teams is for you to follow the pitching, and right now Toronto's is the best in the East...barring injury they could finish atop that division.

The bluejays need a:
Lead off man
Set up man
and another starter.

No playoffs for the jays, sorry.

Their pitching rotation just isn't strong enough to beat out both Boston and New York. They should have went after Schmidt instead of signing Thomas and giving Wells that insane contract.

No Because RED SOX and Yankees will take the AL EAST and AL WILDCARD both away from them, its fair playing in that division.

No. There's too much competition in their league and most of those teams are better than them. They either need to switch leagues or get better players to work their way up. Not this year, and not next year.

i think they'll make the playoffs....
.......oh but only if the yankees and red sox join a different division.....
.....and they trade for soriano, reyes, manny, guerrero and beltran......
......and they play all their games against the pittsburgh pirates......
......and get a 5 run lead.

so yeah i think they've got a chance.

Not this year. They need to ask MLB to be put in another division. They will not win in the division they are in.
