Wow, I am sorry to hear all the bad experiences with PPL. I have been a member for over 3 years now and I use the services about once a month. I will say I had such a good experience with them that I actually singed up to be a rep. I was not one of those recruiting reps, I believed in the product that was offered and I sold over 1000 plans. I was able to profit just under 100k durring my career and have a lot of satisfied clients. I will say on the flip side that there are some states where the law firms have some growing up to do and the job they do is, I feel, not up to par but that is all part of the growth of an industry. Not all auto insurance companies treat thier clients well either but I don;t see you quiting them.
The main problem with PPL now is that they are making the legal system affordable, but people do not know what the legal system looks like before PPL. See I used attorneys a lot in the past and payed them a lot of money to do things that I have not been charged for by PPL. The attorneys I have paid have been, by far, a whole hell of a lot worse than the service provided by PPL. Where else are you going to get an attorney to give you a discount on thier services or write a letter at no charge? Nowhere.
So that is the problem, people are ignorant to the legal system, and understandably, because it costs too much. I have had letters written to solve $30 issues and it worked. My driving record is clean, not because I drive the speed limit, but because I have the PPL plan. People in life too often give up a good thing because of one experience. By the way the clients that have maintained thier policies with me are mostly business owners and people that have experienced law first hand before and so therefore have a great appreciation for what they have been given!
As far as the business, I would not suggest it as a source of income. The company is way to focused on the MLM side right now and I think that is not so good. You can make money selling the plan and I would be happy to share with you how to set up your business so chargebacks are not an issue. I now work primarily in the group benefits side and have found that to be very lucrative. http://www.prepaidlegal.com/hub/bjwells
I would also check out this site for a business I have been working with where the primary focus is the product. I have found a lot of success here and it is still brand spankin new because the forex market is new to the public. Check it out: http://www.yourforexinvestor.com
To you success,

I too have been involved with Pre-Paid Legal Services Inc for the past 2 years. A lot of people get caught up in the MLM side of the business and that was not for me. I absolutely love my legal plan. I have used it at least 12 times over the past 2 years and have been extremely satisfied. You do not have to get involved in the MLM side of the business you can instead focus on Small Business Plans and Group Benefit Enrollments. I have chosen to focus in the Group Benefit area especially since the company has a great way of getting you at least in the door with the ID Theft laws and how it applies to businesses. By you going in and doing a ID Theft training it is actually helping the company meet requirements they would normally have to go out and pay for. It is extremely difficult to make it a full time income and I tried it for a little over a year and have since gone back to work and still do Pre-Paid Legal on the side. If you have any questions I am more than willing to share with you my own personal experiences. I would suggest going ahead with the business and work it in a smart manner, do not sell emergency plans because 99% of them will come back on you and charge backs is what forces the majority of the associates out.

I paid for there services for over a year and when I needed them they would not help me. Our mortgage company put our house in forclosure but it was a mistake on the part of their computors not our fault and when I called prepaid they told we were just going to have deal with loseing our home. Needless to say I handled it and we still have the house but I quit paying for prepaid legel. And would not recomend them to anyone. This has held us up from selling and moving because our credit report shows we owe the bank $22.000 because of thier mistake and we are now fighting that. but not with help from prepaid. Don't do it.

Good morning,
myself, i say no, i have had an experience with pre-paid legal and it was not very good, you don't get a well done job, or i shall say, i did not. They wanted me to do all the leg work the paralegal was to do.The job they done was half @@@ed to say the least. If you choose such a plan, i would ask questions beforehand, make sure they do what it is you think you will need them for. Make them commet before paying them.
I hope this helps.
Have an outstanding weekend

I never had one of its reps try and sell me the product/service but they all want to recruit you. But of all those types of MLM I never heard anything bad and they have been around for quite some time. But if you do a search you will see some negs about how bad the actual coverage is as far as the actual legal work.

not worth it. if you have something serious, you'll need far more services than covered by any typical plan. minor stuff is waste of money to get thru this
