If you have several ITunes, it can take up a lot of space and it tend to be a hassle to delete them. I know a few tricks that you can help you can get more room for free by using the Windows Utilities. The first one that I suggest that you use is called Disk Cleanup, which gets rid of temporary files and compress old files as well. The other way is click on your ITunes and right click on them. You will be brought to a menu of where you actually have the option of compressing them. You can defrag your hard drive as well. The next thing that you can do is put them on CDs instead if you have CD or DVD burner on it that you want to keep.
Another solution is actually buy a flash drive. These act like hardrives and do not cost a arm or a leg. You can get them at any computer store, but I strongly recommend that you go to newegg.com because of it's customer service, prices, and replace policies. Hope this helps you out.

External hard drives are ok, but they can be very expensive, comparatively slow to transfer data to and from (a USB 2.0 bus is a *lot* slower than the SATA or IDE buses used to connect internal hard drives) and a pain to carry around.
Furthermore, the longer you hold off buying one, the more you will get for your money because they, like all other computer hardware, are constantly coming down in price and being improved.
I would use disk recon to help clean up your hard drive and buy you another 6 months or so:
http://www.download.com/Disk-Recon/3000-2248_4-10625208.html?tag=lst-0-1
Download and install, it will scan your hard drive and show you where most of the space is being taken up, as well as detecting duplicate files etc.
Hope that helps.

In think maybe u havent actually "emptied" the recycle bin, as this is what actually deletes the file.
if it doesnt help then u will definitly eventually have to buy a hard drive like i did. my first one was about 150gb and i thought that would be enough but i download allsorts of media and it soon run out, so get yourself a big one if ur a big downloader and it will be worth it. you can get brand new ones off ebay for cheap these day, and get one with a usb 2.0 port as this will transfer data quicker.

It may have not made any difference to disc space if you did not empty your recycle bin so check that is empty first. As for external hard drive make sure you have a USB 2.0 port so that tranferring files is quicker. You can get plenty of ideas on ebay

Good Morning, A external hard drive is a great idea, very easy to install and easy to carry around. You can get them in all types of sizes, or even buy a case and add your own hard drive to it. Best of luck to you.
Have an outstanding weekend

You want to check if your laptop can take a 2nd internal hard drive.
A 2nd internal drive would be a better option if it can, unless you want to be able to carry the external drive around with you without the laptop

Try a disc clean up first. download and run "ccleaner" and also use windows own utilities in disk management. You may have more space than you think.
