lol okay dude ignore w/e answer u got, unless u wanna have the back of a 16 yr old girl. okay if u want a strong lower back your 3 best friends are the lat pull down , and the t-bar row machine. and also squats , very important. remember your back needs rest after a days of hard work out. so only work it out 3 times a week.

A simple exercise is to lay on your stomach with your arms down to your sides and lift your upper body and your legs and pelvic area up off the floor and hold it for 5 seconds and repeat for 20 reps. It would look like you are trying to form a U with your body though it would actually not bend that much.

Push-ups. Lots and lots of push-ups. I'd start with a two sets of 15 once a day and increase it by 5 every week until you hit 35 or 40. After that only increase by 5 when you can easily do your current amount.

Pilates or yoga are excellent for stranghtening muscles in this area and they are low impact so they won't put to much strain on you! pilates and yoga help you to control your breathing and stabilise your core muscles (the ones that support your whole structure) they will also help with flexibility. most towns have yoga and or pilates. check out your local gym or look in the yellow pages to find out where!

Good posture is key to supporting your structure. As far as excercises, you need to check with a doctor and/or trainer to find out what exercises are right for you.

Since this is in the injuries area, I would suggest that you see an exercise therapist to ge tthe answer to your question. They can put a program together that would help you along the way you want to go.
