I'm inlove with my guy friend of two years. At first we worked together for about 4months and just before I left the country we were working in, I realised I was inlove with him. It's scary to think we've spent in total 5 months of time face to face and the remainder of the time emailing eachother once a week or fortnight. Am i holding onto false hope? Why would he still be writing me? Is it possible he really thinks we are just friends? I don't know if i can go back to being only his friend. I need to get a life but all the guys I date just don't seem to fill his place(T_^;)

no it isn't true. i am a daughter of two boy scout leaders so i was at a boy scout camp for a long time and kinda like you i fell for a friend of about 8 yrs. also if he is still writing there is a possibility that he likes you. make a comment jokingly and see how he reacts to it. just don't read too much into it or you could end up hurt and if he isn't the one just wait the right one will come along.

i have exactly the same problem, i have really fallen for this guy who is one of ma closest mates. We tried the dating thing but it didnt work, so yes guys and girls can just be friends. One advice i do give is try and control your feelings for him because at the end of the day friends is what ya meant to be and u dnt want to loose him as a friend.

its not always true but sumtimes ur hormones gets messed up so ur all over the place. if you do have feelings for him then i do advise if you tell him coz he might like u to, if u spend a lot of time together and he likes it, it cud be that he likes you to if not then u must be a good mate. Guys and girls can just be friends. I do it all the time. No friends with benefits either.. But you might fall in love with your friend, but what if that doesn't work out? Then you've lost your best friend and love.

Yes...it is possible for a man and woman to be friends. However, if you have had a prior relationship with each other it may be a bit harder although it is still possible.
