I am a single black female, & have been as such for approximately 2 years. I have considered trying out a relationship with a woman, wether it be that of a casual content, or that of developing into something permanent?
I will admitt that I have pondered this thought for sometime.
I am not that experienced with women, but I am turned on greatly by them in a sexual & sensual way. I would like to think that I could please a woman in many ways. But I'm not too sure? I love the thought of being with a woman, but am not sure of how exactly to go about proceeding with this dream of mine. Does nationallity matter? I am a woman of color.... Are women more trusting in these types of relationships, or is their alot of drama? Are their locations that are low key, mature, & openminded to my suggestions?
I am certain that with the right individual,I would be content with this request. I reside in Seattle, Wash., & would appreciate any advice. Seeking women 35-50. Size & creed no prob

You've only been a single black female for 2 years? What were you before that? A black male or a white female? Did you change gender or color?

Hi Soliloquy, I found your question very interesting as I found myself in a similar position last year, after my 10 year marriage ended. While I had never really been sexually attracted to women before, I started to look at women differently and started to look at them in a sexual way. I wondered what this meant - was I just reacting to the bad end of my marriage, or was there something more? I came across a website called www.pinksofa.com which said it was the world's biggest lesbian meeting place. Because the focus wasn't on sex or dating, I thought this might be a good place to start, so I completed a profile detailing my uncertainty about my sexuality. I was pleasantly surprised when I received lots of messages of support and advice about how to find out what I truly wanted. The more I spoke to these women online the more comfortable I felt, there was no sleaziness or "chatting up", just a really concerned community of women who wanted to help. Eventually I started to meet some of these women, just for coffee and then gradually they invited me out to gay clubs and events. Soon after I met a woman who I fell in love with and we've been together for almost a year now. Being with a woman feels like the most natural thing in the world, but I am so glad I did it slowly with the help of the pink sofa. I would recommend you visit www.pinksofa.com and read some of the forums to help you understand more about your sexual orientation. Good luck!
