This is a very hard question to answer without counting the rings, at a guess i would say 12 to 18 inch, i have a cherry that is about 32 years old and the trunk is about 2- 21/2 foot thick. the best way to tel the age of a tree is by a reccorded history of the tree or even some old photographs.
Hope this helps.

I have a cherry tree and I think its over 50 years old as the house is over 70 years old and the trunk is very thick its about 10 inches wide. Just guessing on how old it is though.

hrm I think about 20-24 inches. However when trees are young they don't have as thick of rings on the inside of the trunk and one can only tell by cutting the tree down how old it is exactly.

Too many variables to tell. Depending on how the soil, fertilizers, tree stress, pruning, site conditions, environment, water, etc. have effected the tree over its life...could determine the stature of the tree, including its trunk, bark, crown, and branching pattern.

Maybe 5 or 6 inch. A lot depends on the position, soil condition, exposure to wind, altitude and your latitude. I've seen really old trees up high hills that are tiny.

It depends on the soil condition, how much sunlight etc the tree is receiving. If it's in a poor position, it wouldn't thrive and grow as big as another specimen in a better position. It's impossible to say how old it is.
