I clean houses for other people....it's a small investment and people will pay well to have their homes already clean when they come home from work....advertise by passing out flyers printed up on your own pc....don't go for the big homes this will mean more work and usually less money....2500sq ft or less and i charge about $75-$55 depending on the mess and clutter....don't do dishes or laundry (it's too time consuming) without charging extra....i usually spend about 3 hrs in each home.....one a day is a good part time income but 2 a day will bring a better income.....there is a huge demand in my area and i tried to build it up but finding someone who cleans like i do and is reliable is impossible....good luck in whatever you choose

I actually wrote a free report with a bunch of business ideas that can be done from home. It caters to military wives, but really anyone can use them.

Contact me and I can send you the link.

eBay is my favorite small business idea, though. Very low start up, HUGE pool of buyers looking for products to buy (not just research) and now, with the USPS doing "click n' ship" you don't have to go to the post office. Just buy some envelopes and a postal scale and you're set!

I have had a small business from home.
One was child care
The other was selling whole sale VS lingerie. (World wide)
and doing home parties. I sold my stock and we also moved from one state to another so it got harder - (to start out with new clients etc).. I also got tired of importing items always a delay, sometimes not the products you waited weeks for.

Right now I sell swiss formulated skin care -
I work for myself but have the co. supporting me if/when I need it. It doesn't cost a lot to "try" and the best areas to make the most money are unsaturated. Or having friends interested - in both the product and being on your team.

I have had friends who make stationary, bracelets, purses
and I also have a friend who has an e-bay boutique.
They are equally successful but it is "work".
It's fun if you find something you like doing.

Ebay is a good one....do your homework, lots of scammers lurking about. Cell phones are not going anywhere thats a good product...watch the trends and you will find opportunities...for instance some one may only make graphics to be used on myspace and they can make good money. I have seen crazy looking cellphone "skins" or covers same for laptops..unique and original. Good luck! I love entrepreneurs.
