My friend was discharged from bankruptcy last october, and she has only been able to get an account with Co-Operative Bank.

All banks have some sort of criteria that thier clients must meet, and bankruptcy is on hardly any.

Sure you can. As a matter of fact you do not even have to close your account when you go through bankruptcy.

Yes but it may be difficult. Contact the banks and tell them your situation before applying fully. Say you do not want to waste their time only to find out you will be successful.

Absolutely. Any bank will be happy to take your money.

Getting a loan might be a bit more difficult. Still possible, but more difficult.
