The arrival of Columbus, European colonisation, conquest of the wild west. Democracy, Freedom and Liberty. Everything that had to do with America is symbolically white. The figurehead of the nation has to embody that very image of US America.
More importantly, what gives you the idea that 2ND generation American Chinese, brought up and educated the American way, would think like mainland Chinese?
Let's face it: An American president will always be a white man.

Dead NO.
China, in your eyes, may be growing into a superpower because it currently has an effective leader running its country.
The USA doesn't necessarily have to elect a Chinese-American president to boost its power. All it needs is a leader that can serve both as a leader and a servant..one who understands and acts responsibly with his deeds..one that uses both his brain and his heart to rule a nation.

No - especially if running on a racist (pro-Chinese) platform. I don't know about you, but seeing as China is a Communist Hegemony that denies basic human rights to it's people, I don't think that we should financially or politically bolster it. If we all started buying AMERICAN instead of just talking about it, that would put a serious crimp in the Chinese government's buying power. If we keep on buying from China - they will keep on buying our government. Government should never be about (for or against) any race in particular- it should be neutral.

NOOO. We need state leaders: Senators, Congressmen to create better incentives to KEEP manufacturing in the USA. If US businesses were not allowed to EXPORT ALL their labor costs and businesses did business within our borders, China would just be China as always. But as we give up our financial security for cheap labor and cheaply made products, 'cause the stuff I buy from China is pretty lousy quality compared to other countries and especially American made products!
Non of our Presidential Candidates seem too worried about all the dollars we export?? How come?

I fail to appreciate your query. We have already got international relations and cooperation with them. Remeber Nixon? And given that we're the Super vigor now, might be China demands a Chinese-American chief.

I think that the race of any potential President is irrelevant. What's important is the ability to be diplomatic with other countries.
