I am African American male and i wash my hair everyday but that is not the norm in my community. Most people especially women wash their hair like once a week. Our hair needs oilys to be strong and if you was it away daily you will damage our hair. I keep my hair short and i oil my sclap daily. I need to wash it daily for my dandruff it is the only way to keep it under control. So what about white peoples hair is different that they can wash it daily

I dont have a scientific answer, but maybe the structure of our hair is different. My hair gets nasty oily if I dont wash it daily. I have oily skin and I guess my scalp is too.

Because we have no need for added ingredients as our hair's makeup involves the essential oils needed for healthy hair.
On the contrary of what you said, white people actually don't need to wash their hair daily (unless the person used other styling products, has excessive oily skin, or has gotten sweaty and dirty) as it can cause damage in the future. It's best to wash your hair every other day to ensure you give your hair time to replenish the oils you've washed away from the previous washing.

Oily or dirty, or just so wavy & curly it has to be tamed with water. Most people like to shower daily. So when your hair gets wet you may as well shampoo. Not always a good thing to do. It can damage the hair.

White people aren't supposed to wash their hair daily, it's not healthy, but most do to feel clean.
I don't wash my hair everyday because it's curly and more delicate than most, but I will shower and use conditioner daily, so I guess I'm abnormal.

I only wash my hair every other day, but if I didn't do it that often, I would look like it would look like someone had dumped a bucket of olive oil on my head.
