My grandad once told me that he saw a ghost. He was driving at night and then he got to some railway tracks,as he was crossing it,he saw a guy suddenly appear on the tracks in front of him.He quickly stopped and got out,and there was nothing....
The next morning he read in the newspaper that there was a man who was run over by a train at those railway tracks the previous night. My friend told me that she once saw ghosts in her house. She got up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet. When she left her room, she saw a bunch of people,in the living room walking up and down. They were all white, they didn't have faces,it was just a white empty space where their faces was supposed to be.They were walking around turning the tv on and off and fiddling with the stove in the kitchen and walking in and out of the sliding door without opening it!My friend was so scared that she just ran back into her room.I once saw a woman sitting on our toilet, she was white as a sheet, reading a magazine!

My scariest experience probably came about when I was either 11 or 12 years old. This friend of my mother's invited her and my step-father to this party during the summer. I don't remember why I went but I did. I wish I didn't. My parents got "rip-roaring" drunk before they decided to drive home. Despite the pleas of my mother's friend's mother to allow me to stay there the night, I had to go home with them. It was probably a good 30-45 minute drive and due to the amount of beer my step father had he had a "lead foot" all the way home. My mother(who likes to start fights when she's drunk)was yelling at my step-father for one thing or another and that only made my step father drive faster. I remember the whole ride home I was curled up in the back seat with my hands and arms covering the top of my head waiting for the ride from hell to be over with. I don't know what made me sit up the last few moments of the trip but when I did I witnessed my step-father jamming on the breaks mere millimeters from the garage door. I honestly wish there was a police officer out that night but with my parents taking back country roads the majority of the trip I guess that's why there wasn't one. I know my story has no relevance to the "Mythology & Folklore" category but it's still the most scariest thing I've experienced.

Well the paranormal activity in my house has increased. We have what is called ghost cats. They rub against our legs, open doors, and even I heard them running down the steps to me.

The other night, I had my hand on a doorknob, just waiting for my husband to come with me and the doorknob turned in my hand.

The day after, I heard the same door open and someone walk in.

I sometimes find it creepy but what can I do? They are harmless creatures, just wanting attention mostly.

Regarding to the second answer...it is not. If you are not a believer of the paranormal then that is okay but do not say I am lying. I was really creeped out by some of the things I have not mentioned because people don't believe me. The things I have seen would make a grown man cry...

Everyday on my way to work, I live in São Paulo - Brazil, one of the biggest cities in the world, I go by lots of buildings, corporations, landmarks, and yet, in broad daylight at 8:30 a.m. there is children, really little, about 7 to 10 yo. doing crack and sniffing glue (that toxic type) ... Others are still asleep when I go by, right there on the sidewalk, wrapped on dirty blankets or random pieces of filthy cloth... The city is moving all arround, starting the day, but that has already become part of the urban landscape. Nobody cares, and just move on... THAT´S SCARRY FREAKY, SAD, TERRIBLE!!!

I've experienced some strange things but the one which scared me the most it was when I felt someone sat on my bed at midnight and when I open my eyes I saw the form of some on my bed and then I heard some knocks on the window as I lived in 12th floor at the time I got so frightened that I couldn't move to check this out.

I'm a clairvoyant/medium~ and I "see dead people" that's NOTHING strange...but recently we have gotten a dog..he's 1.5 yrs old and when I take him for walks we go down stairs..he runs down and has NO problems...but IF the hall lights are NOT on...and we hit the second set of steps leading to our apartment he will NOT walk up these stairs! BUT when I tug on his leash, he will walk and almost jump OVER something that isn't there! (when the lights are on in the hall...(on a timer) he runs right up them)

In telling you that, we have an apparition of a young man that darts from our second floor UP the stairs to the third floor and I've on several occations seen David sitting on the TOP step...the place our small Bichon leaps over! David has reached out to pet Max..and Max has growled and barked!

I could tell a million things from my investigations and personal experiences since I was 3-4 yrs old...I'm now 42! But you don't want to hear some of what I can see!

My mother had passed away for 6 years, when one night, late, I was alone in my living room channel surfing. I came across the video of a song that came out when she had passed away and reminded me of her. In a moment of sadness, I watched the video. Before it ended, (it's hard to explain) I felt frozen like. I could not move. The feeling of something trying to possess me was over whelming. It didn't feel nice. I could tell it was not good. I tried to scream out, but couldn't. I mentally had to force it away. I told myself I didn't want this...The feeling stopped and everything went back to normal. I cried like a baby afterwards. It was very intense.
Trust me, I am not a believer of the supernatural. But don't know how to explain that incident.

The scariest thing I ever experienced was a copycat guy thought he was the nightstalker and was stalking me. I won't go into details but he was chasing me, and I almost didn't escape this experience. I was in calif. around the time of the nightstalker. pretty freaky stuff.
