Ahh yes, the 're-education' camps, where citizens are to be taken for the purposes of corrective thinking........and as you say, brought to us by the conservatives.
Does anyone really think a social conservative has any clue as to how communistic, nazi or Big Brother-like all this sounds?

No, actually witchcraft in it's purest form would embrace a person being themselves, that's quite the opposite of reparative therapy. I believe the comparison you are looking for would be similar to indoctrination by a cult.
If you have the "exact comparison" then you are disparaging the actual practitioners of witchcraft and perpetuating a stereotype. That would put your commentary in a similar category to those you are "against". It's better to be thought a fool and remain silent than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

What you are talking about is brain washing, not witchcraft. Witchcraft is about harnessing your inner power, its not about losing your free will and free thought. I am confused as to why you would equate something so repugnant as reparative therapy (which is not therapy at all but the destruction of the human identity), with a practice of bringing positive natural forces into ones' life. Perhaps you simply don't know what witchcraft is. However, brainwashing (you use the term communism, which is simply a political system), is something used by cults to divest people of their personal identity to destroy free will and independent thinking. Essentially brainwashing breaks down what we know to be true and replaces it with someone else's idea of what truth is. Parents who force their kids to go thorough this are guilty of child abuse and adults who fall for this are guilty of self hatred and lying to themselves. Cults that use this, including the christian cults, need to be hauled into the courts like anyone else breaking the law.

First off witchcraft is as far removed from Communism as things can get. The camps are most likely created by religious people in order to make our sons and daughters more god fearing so that they will conform to what some say is normal.

I have a lot more respect for witchcraft and communism than I do for reparative therapy.
No... it reminds me more of Jim Jones than anything else.

it smacks more of concentration camps to me. young people held against their will, even abused. it's nothing but brain-washing....and it won't work! they can abuse and threaten these kids all they want, but they are doing more damage than good. you can frighten them into pretending to be straight, brain-wash them even....but deep down, you just can't change who they innately are. they want us to live a lie and pretend to be someone we aren't....why? to make them happy? but, it's OK if they are happy, and doesn't matter if we are miserable? they don't care! and it's so wrong. we've read the stories of the abuse these kids are subjected to. the people that run these "camps" should be put away!

how can reparative therapy be compared to sharing everything you have or taking off your clothes and worshipping the moon. You don't make any sense..
