In my view seriously, there should be a age bar for the voters. Like a person below 18 can not vote, similarly a person above 55 should not be allowed to vote.
Logic: The mess that is created is by those who are above 55 years of age only. It is they who have brought politics to the state that it is today. We can not blame aged politicians for this.
Contestants can be from any age group.Only the selection body will be from those below 55 years of age.
My proposal is dynamic and needs to be seriously given a thought It will cure the political mess.

What's in an age? We need quality that quantity or maturity.
Our constitution was made for PEOPLE. Do you find people in this country. we see selfish rascals all over. How many of us have thought of others welfare?
The saying goes.... If you are just a spectator of your neighbour being robbed, beware and await your turn.
we need to care for our society. Les us all just spend 20 minutes before going to bed think of what we have contributed to our society, that made us what we are today. This will give you the answer.
We need to change the constitution and our system according to the mentality of people. The people in power depend on us only when we vote and after that ....We enter shun ya.... like some sects say this life is shun ya. We all go into this experience after the election is over and the results are announced.
They should be made to depend on us on each and every project they take. they should be made to come to us for everything. Keep them as our SERVANTS exactly as the constitution describes them. I can keep going on and what will happen? You'll stop reading and label me as mad guy does not have any thing to do.

No, I don't think so. Wisdom is mostly acquired by the experiences of a longer lifespan. The same is possible in politics. Also to have seniority in the ranks is to have more influence on committees. Younger candidates should still run in order to test the "dinosauers" to make sure their brains are still functioning.

The age qualification for candidates must be lowered to 20 years old in order that sincere and talented youth be given the chance to serve as public servants since they are still idealistic unlike the old ones who tend to protect their interests.

yes there should be age bar to joint politics and there
should be qualification for entering as well the personal
background of the candidates before issuing ticket so those
having ciriminal record can not enter like aabu salem.

yes. it is strange why politicians wants to be in politics when they can not even walk of old age. but they want power. I see no politician work for the people they work for themselves

a criminal background check before Every election
b a college level entrance exam
c Drug and Alcohol testing done on everyone prior to them running for office, and randomly once they are in office.
