Could you clarify the question? Where is the "end" of a sphere. Yes, I read the Foundation (by Isaac Asimov) which suggests the ends of a circle being the opposite side (across the diameter), the point of origin, or the center. So it would depend on the starting point (since nobody lives at the center).
