I am not condoning them nor am I asking for your moral view on the topic...It just seems that affairs are more fun in theory than in practise as most people I know having them seem to be miserable half the time...so tell me your view? Are they fun?

Yes and no. Thrilling, yes. Fun? Not usually. There's the guilt, the fear, the confusion. Having to keep your lies straight, having to keep things quiet. Worry about if he/she is going to ring you at home when your partner is there. Fear that someone you know will see you with the other person. Confused feelings - history and love for your original partner, but infatuation and lust with the new one. Anger at your original partner for 'driving you away' and anger at yourself for hurting them. In my experience, it's not worth the ulcer.

It is never OK to cheat - period. That is the simple answer. When you are married you and you wife have made an agreement to have sex only with each other. If you now decide you are unable to keep the promise then you should tell your wife and discuss what you intend to do so that she can be aware and give you her approval, and perhaps she will ask for your permission to do the same. Once you approve of each others activities then you are free to meet this woman. However, I would not do so without the knowledge she has done the same with her husband. It makes no difference if you have a quickie (which I don't see why you would put so much on the line for a quickie)or an all night meeting once, five times, or hundreds of times you have cheated, and someone, if not everyone involved, is going to get hurt no matter how well you think you can hide it. If you feel you are unable to discuss it with your wife then divorce her and you will be free to do as you please. However, remember if you have an affair with a married woman you will also be at least partially responsible when the woman's husband find out and their marriage breaks up. It may be a hot sneaky lunch hour, but it doesn't sound like much fun.

Quite contrary, there's a few meaning of affairs, but the most dangerous one of them all are hurting someone that you cared. When men or women are married and they look or turn to someone for sex, this is what they called adultery, (lust). They might find it exciting and thrilling because they do sneak out from their spouse, but reality of it ,they are committing sin.
But if you are single and have a boyfriend/girlfriend and yet you still turn to someone else, that's having an affair, this case is not much because it's prove that you love to play head games. This are some of affairs that one must think about before doing it...

Yes they are... Honestly, not only fun but for me it was one of the best times I've had... I know wrong, but I guess that was one of the things that make it fun. It also gives you a sense of freedom and ironically of relaxation since it's kind of a short relationship without the stress and the worries.

They just get complicated when conscience and feelings come along making you miserable emotionally, and that's without counting on what happens if you hurt someone you care about.

if i ever feel i need an affair i dump whoever i am with at that moment and find someone new. if u need an affair it means u re bored and stagnated in relationships u re now. what is the reason to continue ? we live only once. i came to that conclusion when i was first time married and unhappy in this marriage and was having affairs. it was not fun.

Part of the fun is the secrecy involved. But you should always ask yourself this question: Is a few minutes of fun worth spoiling a good relationship?

Even if you never get caught, you will never feel the same way about your partner.

I have been accused of having one, so if I ever ACTUALLY have an affair, I'll let you know if it was fun...or even worth it.
