This is gonna sound daft, but bog standard tooth paste brings back the shine on silver. The gel stuff doesn't work though, it has to be paste.
Just rub it in with an old rag, rinse it off and give it a quick buff up, it'll shine like new.

Put it in a bowl of warm water with some screwed up aluminium foil and a couple tablespoons of salt. Put items in and leave for 20 mins, remove and polish. Should clean up a treat with no effort. It is how antique silver is cleaned. If not put back in and leave longer.

Okay simple enough, just wash your silver plate with some dishwashing detergent and then rinse with some warm water, tarnish will rinse off like magic and your silver plate will be clean and shiny, you can also clean your silver plate with silver polish.

Baking soda, add a little bit of water to make a paste then put on a towel and rub that tarnish away , rinse and dry.. Takes alot of elbow grease but works.

go to an auto shop, ask them for eagle ones never dull, that will take care of the silver, your head lights and all other chrome pieces you may have.
