For last 30 years hardly few completely violence free story based films could be made, say 'Avtar'. Now a days no film is made with story not having lust, violence, smuggling , murder, sex based crimes, ridiculous costumes , provocative outfits for both men & women, full of unprincipled dirty tricks, cheating & forgery at every level, corruption at all places as if it is biggest need of hour & person not expert in such things cannot survive on earth. In reality more than 80% people are simple & have nothing to do with them. But in films & TV serials these things are highlighted much more than the punishments & consequences. Positive , innovative & interesting stories & literatures are completely missing. Rock musics etc. have eliminated clean & intersting poetries. We are very-very badly spoiling our new generations. Moral values are degrading fast. Are these real disciplines & responsibilities of top brass of film industries ? Is there any healthy solution ?

Healthy solution for this problum is only to ban the violence, smuggling murder and sex based films, only it can be done by making laws but law makers are also indulging in voilence........etc.so the problem can not be solved.

its sad yes, that sex and violence sell, i think Hollywood learned this way before any one did, look at how fast the films from the 50's and 60's changed to the films now days. i doubt you will ever see a musical, or family fun film that isn't made by Disney, or nick. your right some one dropped the ball, but at the same time people will tell you that they have the "right" to do that and how dare you try to censor them. hey I'm all for the freedom of speech and stuff, but at the same time, you can only see so much of the same crap before it gets to you and you become desensitized by it all. like when 8mm came out that was called the most violent movie and people were talking about how bad it was, when i saw it had a very strange effect on me, i felt sick to my stomach but passed it off saying the bass in the speakers at the show were set to low. really i thought that if that was what they were able to get away with and call it a movie then it would not belong before they started doing worse and they have.
sorry i have taken up so much room, but i do agree with you, and at the same time, i love a good scary movie.

If you have a problem with sexual content or violence of any kind, you clearly have no desire to watch any movie ever made.
The responsibility of the movie producers is to make money for their investors, not release some cream puff public service garbage for prudes such as yourself.
Moral values exist independent of movies. Movies are fiction and although we can imitate them and sometimes thier fictional stories imitate us, it's silly to assume that movies have the strong of an impact.
"Is there a healthy solution?" you ask. Yes there is one: stay away from movies. That or try to make some wholesome movies of your own and see how you do. Perhaps there's an enormous untapped wussy prude demographic that will create a stampede to see your movie. But then again, perhaps not.

Who cares about happy ends or boring love stories? People want to see things that won't happen in their lives! Such as wild sex escapades, daring chases with cops, shootouts, drive-bys, executions and big fighting scenes!
They want something new, innovative and fast-paced. Thinking? In a cinema? I won't use my head, I paid for some action and hot chicks! Thinking can be done at work and maybe at home. Emotions are void as well, it is all about matierialism. Fast cars, big guns, hot chicks that will do anything to be popular. That's the world today!

The film industry is a business that has to offer a product that people will buy. People buy more tickets to movies with violent and risque material, so that's what gets made. You can't legislate the public's taste. You can choose what you want to watch.

It is not the absence of stories, but efforts. If you want a shirt/blouse you have two choices either to buy a readymade or buy clothes. In the second opetion you have to take some pain. Now a days nobody wants it , they prefer readymade. So this sorry state of affairs will continue.

The problem is not movies or rock music. The problem is our society, we're becoming the Romans. Film and entertainment are our Colliseum.
Such is the problem of too easy a life.
