Don't use any rap in the mix. That's the number one rule. You might be surprised how many good songs were spawned in the '80's.

Well it depends on what music she likes. It is her birthday party. Right now you probably can't go wrong with Justin Timberlake, or Robbie Williams. For rock try Nickleback.
