I'm not saying black metal or death metal growls, I'm thinking power metal, how can I sing in such an energetic voice? how can I scream like that?

I'm glad you don't want to do the "Cookie Monster" vocal thing , it's so tired and lame. Metal needs more power singers with talent that can actually sing. I'm not sure the name of the website, but do a search on a guy named Jim Gillette, or Jim Gillette Vocal Power - this guy was best known for his time in a band called Nitro that was a power metal band, he has a 5-6 octave range voice, and was known for shattering glass! He has a series of instructional things that can probably help you on what you are looking for. Good luck!

think of some thing that really gets on your nerves, some thing that just makes you wanna ram your fist into the wall, but instead of beating up the wall scream, scream , scream.
you also might want to quit smoking (if you do) at least until you know just how long you can hold a note and how long you can scream without a break to breath. and lay off the sodas, and anything with a lot of sugar, drink more water, i hear that that will help your throat.
