If inner beauty is more important, then how come we spend most of our money on clothes, hair, make up etc while we dont spend even a sec looking in to our inner self?
What do u do, for your self?

Good question. I think that the appearance is more about how we perceive ourselves. Its very important to me to look and smell good. If you look good you feel good. as simple as that.

I think there's allot of truth in beauty being only skin deep nowadays. Too many people are fixated on looking good and 'the part' that they don't develop their personality. The most ugly people I have met have outward beauty.
I do think that taking care of yourself (however you define this) is good for you and will make you shine. Even if you dress yourself up once a month and take yourself out to let you hair down, it's good for you.
It doesn't help the shallow and self centred society that we now live in. People can be cruel to people who might not quite look how they 'should' and this gives people the insecurities that drives them to be fixated on their looks etc.

No its very important for women to look good for their man & some women need makeup to make them feel good & others don't.
I find that some women want to have loads of new clothes but that really is not necessary in most cases
Also everyone should be good & kind inside I think that is the most important thing.
Couples should be friends & want to do things together as well as lovers.
It is not so important for a man as we are ugly (except me)

I spend money on my appearance so I feel better about myself. The better I feel, the happier I am and when I'm happy, I treat people better.
I always look at my inner self, so you can't say that no one does.

Since I've had my kids I've put on about 3 stone in weight, stopped wearing designer clothes, and stressing about every little imperfection. I live a much more happy and fulfilled life.
And I find I can actually have a decent conversation with people now, because they seem to value my opinion a little more.

Because what attracts us to potential mates is the outward look, it is only afterwards when we get to know the inner person that we find out if the relationship can work or not.

Yes Janey but what do you feel when you see someone disfigured? Seems to me beauty is only skin deep and the seer very shallow

Because everyone has become so shallow and fixated with way they look due to magazines and the media. I dress up to go out but dont bother at home.
