I had laser eye surgery about 10 years ago. All has been great but lately my one ye seems to be getting weaker and it is starting to get worse.

Three questions:

1. Does anyone know whether it is safe to have laser eye surgery twice?

3.Should I should go to an optomotrist before a laser eye clinic.

2. Can anyway recommend a laser clinic in London and a good optomotrist?

Cheers in advance.

It is a fact that your eye is constantly changing shape as you grow older, that's why you need to keep getting eye checks every 2 years. Even with laser surgery the effects are not permanent. This is why I have decided against paying hundreds of pounds into doing it. Unitl they find a permanent and risk free way of getting rid of my short sightedness, I'd rather have glasses. Ask your optomotrist or the surgeon who did it before for an opinion of the risks and whether it will happen again.

Hi
I am no expert but have recently been looking up about having laser eye surgery for the first time so i have read quite alot in the past few weeks, And i am pretty sure that you can get an upgrade to your surgery, I think though second time round there are more complications and its riskier!
each time you have surgery the part that gets lasered becomes thinner. Or something like that anyway.
Hope this helps

A lot of laser eye surgery deals, these days, promise free 'touch ups'. So yes, you can get laser surgery twice, but it will probably depend on your eyes... some people have thin corneas and so they can't do multiple procedures. The eye specialist / doctor will be able to tell you.

It depends on the type of laser surgery in which you're referring. I've had about 5 different laser procedures performed on my eyes over the years. 2D

It depends what type you had, I had Lasik which involved cutting a flap in my cornea and lasering behind my eye, it didnt work and ive had it repeated 3 times to no avail, every time I did have a test to check the thickness of my cornea before I could have treatment, I would do some research or get personal recommendations about clinics in your area before getting anymore treatment, can you not go to the clinic you originally had the treatment with?
