That is my daughters birthday also. I am sorry that your sister is sick.
You can't know what is in her mind. Just listen to her, let her know that you love her and that you would do anything for her.
Make her laugh when she feels good and cry with her when she doesn't.
Help her work through the emotions of grief. There are many stages of grief. Denial, anger, etc. She will go through all of those.
I am not religious, but prayer really can work wonders. I have seen it happen.
I wish you both the best. Just be as strong as you can, or as strong as you need to be.

you know the awnser to this already but you just don't know it yet. your her brother and would know her more than anyone else. I may not know what stage she is in but many people beat cancer all the time. it only takes will power. The power to want to live and try harder than the cancer can. you must workout at every chance you get and eat only what "god" or nature provided. its a slim chance but your best bet. only thing you can do is pry, hope, and show her there are things to life for. And also show her that people make it thru this stuff and get her on the right track. good luck.

My mom died because of cancer 8 years ago, so I know how she felt. She was strong and she told my sis and I not to cry, to try and do the best in our life. I suppose your sister is very scared and she needs you to stand by her. You know her, so try to make them smile, bring her presents, make her happy as much as you can.

Why not just ask her? Let her tell you what she's really going through and really listen.
