It depends where the pain is coming from. You could try a hot bath or shower or hot and cold packs on the spot or a very loving partner to take your mind of it and a reason tooo hurt Good luck I have the same trouble most nights for the last 24 years

it' difficult...you may:
wear too many clothes to go to sleep
have too many blankets+you're warm
your room is untidy
change your room decoration (feng - shui rule:your head should be North)
otherwise you're too stressed or ill...you can go to a sleep clinic they'll help you a lot

Other than medications try relaxing things...hot bath, glass of wine,warm milk,hot chocolate,etc....

try sedatives or abuse yourself with alcohol without too much overdose otherwise its reverse effect, it might help on short term basis
